Comment by Makoto Adachi
Gary Walker
Mare Acidarium

Mr. Gary Walker's image is an important image that shows the darkness of the dust storm. The image of the green is very close
to the image of Mars seen with the naked eye. The state that the dense dust storm spreads is recorded near Eridania.
Near Meridiani the dust storm finally got sunny, but it was pale, but I could see the complete figure. The Deucalionis region seems
to be unclear. Also,Oxsia is on the southeast side of Mare Acidarium, but unlike it has become a big change, together with the tip of
Mare Acirdarium. Also,a clear sunny day was formed on the north side of Mare Acidarium. It is interesting that in the image of Mr. Joaquin
Camarena there was a clear sunny part on the north side of Mare Acidarium.
Mr. Mike Hood records a bright part like dust storm at the position of Mare Sirenum. This is a remnant of the dust storm blown out from
the SPC in southern Aonius,it seems to be sand deposited after the dust storm. It has been seen in the same size for the past several
days for the same position.

Seeing was not very good, strong jetstream here for most of the session with brief periods of improved seeing.
Mars is close to opposition now,
in this image we can see a very bright Hellas Basin at lower centre with the dark pattern of Syrtis Major to its north.

Mars at opposition. Things could have been so different, with the high expectations prior to the dust storm,
but it has nonetheless been fascinating watching as things unfolded. Even the recent Hubble image seemed somewhat subdued.
My respect to those fellow imagers that have conscientiously followed the amazing planetary trilogy over these last months.
Even with my unplanned and enforced layoff for a month,
I feel like I have run a few marathons. And there's still plenty to do in the coming months......

The dark spot that is at the lower left on the image of Mars is
Olympus Mons. The dust continues.

Very good seeing for this session of Mars, dust storm still cover the surface of the planet,
but many details are visible in the infrared filter(IR807).

Difficult imaging session again :( but managed a couple of iR captures plus an rgb.
Created an r-rgb also to enhance the details somewhat - several craters can be discerned including Schiaparelli,
Schaerberle,Huygens,Schroeter & Antoniadi.
