Comment by Makoto Adachi
Mare Cimmerium

Although the dust storm covers the whole globe, Syrtis Major is covered with light dust but stuck. Mare Sirenum near Mare Cimmerium is sunny,
and today there is also a tendency of sunshine above the dark pattern.
In the image of Clyde Foster there are two new dust storms near Solis Lacus. It is sunny around Solis Lacus and Thaumasia. Mark Lonsdale has
recorded spectacularly how the SPC is half covered with a dust storm. It is impressive that only the south side of Hellas is clear.
Anthony Wesley records the shape of Sinus Sabaeus at IR. Dust is not so dense, it can be recorded in IR.

The second image set from last night, with Vallis Marineris and the Solis Lacus region central.
- Interesting linear structure at upper left, visible in IR,R and G
- The three Tharsis volcanos are still detected
- Ongoing dust cloud activity over Solis Lacus
- Two new, small, bright dust outbreaks are seen south-west of Vallis Marineris.
- There is also possibly a further small dust outbreak in the Daedalia region at upper right.

An early, low altitude view yesterday evening, with Sinus Meridian almost central, and just detectable through the dust.

Hi all, here's an image of Mars from this morning showing the extent of the current dust storm over this hemisphere.
I've included a reference image from WinJupos so you can see just how much of the surface is obscured.
Streaks of dust can be seen over the south polar cap,and Hellas Basin seems to be full of dust.
Syrtis Major is almost completely hidden.

Very poor seeing this night. The planet looks very hazy. Mare Sirenum was still quite clear around this time.
