解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
 Anthony Wesley氏の画像では、濃いダストストームが北半球のTempeに侵入してる様子が、克明に記録されている。先端は西経80°
Mare Erythraeum
 Clyde Foster氏の画像でも南極冠に乗り上げてきたダストストームをターミネータ付近に記録し。その北側にダストストームの先端を

In the image of Anthony Wesley, the appearance of a dense dust storm entering the Tempe of the Northern Hemisphere is recorded
in a glimpse. The tip seems to be around 80 ° west longitude. Although it is in the vicinity of the equator in Marineris, it seems as if it went
into the valley and deposited sand in the valley bottom as seen on June. Looking carefully, you can see a dust storm showing a figure that
crosses the center of Ganges.
The southern hemisphere goes east a somewhat pale dust storm is approaching near Thaumasia. From Japan it is in a condition that
you can see the dust storm from the center. Mr. Arakawa, Kumamori, Horiuchi, Inoue, Ozaki have recorded that a wide area centered
on Chryse is covered with a dense dust storm. Unfortunately, the observation image is not clear, because the contrast is strong and
the veil of the light dust is not visible, but from Mare Erythraeum to the equator, it is in a situation where you see almost nothing when
you see with the visual observation. I think that the. According to three observers in Japan, the tip of the dust storm that has been going south
has recorded how the Noacis and the south of Solis Lacus began to ride on the SPC.
The SPC was recorded in Anthony Wesley's image in a detailed manner. Shades are seen in various places. Also, the vicinity of
the center is dark and red like the desert is visible.
Even in the image of Clyde Foster, record the dust storm on the South Pole crown near the terminator. The tip of the dust storm was
recorded on the north side, and the appearance of the dust storm spreading over a wide range is recorded. It is a shame that there is
no record on June 8.

my first Mars image in a few months, and it certainly looks very different now.
There appears to be a lot of raised dust covering the right half of the globe as we see it here,
obscuring many of the normal features.

As you would have noticed,I have been out of action for over a month, for two main reasons, one good, and one bad!
I was privileged to be invited to attend, and do a short presentation at the Europlanet Juno workshop 10-11 May in London.
It was another amazing experience, where I was able to personally meet and interact with a number of leading planetary imagers.
Unfortunately immediately after the Workshop,I had an accident, resulting in me being hospitalised for 3 weeks in London
with a fractured pelvis, requiring me to undergo an operation.
I returned to South Africa just over a week ago and am now hopefully in a position where I can start imaging again.
I have been following the dust storm developments with interest and should be in a position to monitor the region over the next week or so.
Attached my first Mars image set following my accident, from last night, just catching the western edge of the recent large dust storm.
Tharsis seems to be reasonably clear, although the northern region may be hazy.
I believe, based on Anthony Wesley's beautiful image captured earlier in the day,
that the bright region at upper left is one of the extensions of the large dust storm that
initiated in the northern hemisphere and which appears to have extended as far as the SPC. Its good to be back imaging!
