Comment by Makoto Adachi
(Comments based on images shot on the earth)
It has become a position where dust storm can be seen from Japan. The number of observations increased as the weather in Japan
recovered. However, most observations are at the same longitude.
The dust storm of Mare Acidarium went to the west in a stroke, crossed the Mare Acirdarium and came into Tempe. It has just spread
to the position of Ganges. In the image of Mr. Iwamasa, the surface of the dust storm shows a violent appearance of unevenness rather
than smoothness. It is interesting that a big crater-like figure was seen near the terminator. The dust storm can be seen clearly with the visual
observation, but this crater-like figure could not be seen.
(by 12 observations ;reported by Makoto Adachi)

(Comment based on the image from MRO)
During the day, the way the dust storm spreads towards Eden has become a stepping stone. It looked like a heavy storm on June
3 of the previous day, but after a day it does not spread much. Diffusion of dense dust storms seems to be an important factor in
the development of one to two days. On the other hand, the developed dust storm that faced Mare Acidarium the day before
entered into Xanthe and expanded. As for the entire dust storm, only the penetration into Xanthe has become a new spread.
This situation is also clearly seen in densities on the ground observation. The dust storm of Xanthe is very bright and the dust storm
in the direction of Eden is faded and recorded. Further Major differences are not reflected in the MRO, but in the observations from
the ground, Mr. Iwamasa records the appearance of dust storms in the valleys that spread to the east of Marineris. Other
observers also recorded vaguely, but only the image of Mr. Iwamasa is recorded in the figure that fits the topography. With the
image of MRO, there are parts of the image that are missing in some places, so you have to be careful. The important part of this
time is a great result of ground observation.

Here is an image of Mars from June 4th in passable seeing,
not as good as that of June 2nd but still passable...
the dust storm first picked up by Joe Rueck last week looks like it is building up &
now covers almost all of the Chryse/Xanthe regions as well as elsewhere!
