Earlier of two images includes Io in transit partially occulting its shadow,
approximately 20 hrs prior to opposition. GRS and STropD nicely placed in second image for which the seeing was better.
Some good seeing here in the UK at last, but Jupiter very low down.
The attached was captured during the early hours of the 8th,7.5 minutes of data, processed with Autostakkert V3 and Registax.
De-rotated 3 files using Winjupos.
Jupiter image taken at 16:10UTC on May 8th,2018 around 19 hours before opposition in average conditions showing the GRS and it's wake.
[John Kazanas,Melbourne Australia]
[Luis Amiama Gomez : [Santo Domingo,Dominican Republic]
Here is finally my first good night of the season (... for the alt. !)
[Christophe Pellier Bruz City,France]
《カーダシス マノス:ギリシャ アテネ》
[Efrain Morales Rivera Aguadilla:Puerto Rico]
[ Paul Maxson:Surprise,Arizona,United States]
[Michel Jacquesson : Sevigny-Waleppe (Ardennes) France]
Excellent seeing for these images on May 8th.
Note Io is occulting its own shadow due to Jupiter being very close to opposition.
