A brief observation I made of Saturn last night. Despite the low altitude there were a few things of interest on the disk, these were as follows:
-There appeared to be a faint belt just above the ShRG. The STB was also visible, the SPR dark, greyish in colour
-NEB probably double- NEB(s) very weak. I think the NEB(n) may have had an irregular edge but it was hard to be certain of anything, the seeing was only average at best.
-The NTB seemed to contain a sort of wedge she object on the proc. side- the NTB did not appear to be uniform and was noticeably darker (and thicker?) on the fol. side.
-NPR dark grey, greenish colour in NTropZ and NTZ
-A-Ring brownish,B1-Ring bright,B2-Ring seen. The C-Ring could just be made out. Interestingly, there appeared to be a greenish tint present in the B1-Ring and the A-Ring on the fol. side (similar to 24th May). I am of the opinion that this is probably little more than a seeing artifact, but a an interesting one! TWS also observed.
Shadows now becoming very pronounced.
